David Ficklen M.D.Dr. David Ficklen is the President and founder of Case Management Innovations. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University.

Dr. Ficklen has 15 years of practice experience in hospital and clinic settings. He served as Chief Medical Officer of a Texas Hospital where he developed a strong interest in developing case management programs. Additionally, Dr. Ficklen served as an Associate and Assistant Professor of Health at Sam Houston State University where he discovered a passion for educating. He has also served as the Chief Medical Officer an Emergency Department and Hospitalist Physician staffing company. In 2011, Dr. Ficklen started Case Management Innovations and has been dedicated to supporting smaller, rural hospitals in the areas of case management and utilization management. Dr. Ficklen’s experience as a practitioner, consultant, administrator and educator brings a unique perspective case management in a rural setting.

Director of Nursing Tracy Campos RN, BSN

Tracy Campos RN, BSN Director of NursingTracy Campos, RN, BSN is the Director of Nursing for Case Management Innovations. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M. She has 20 years of nursing experience in the hospital setting in a variety of roles. Most notably Tracy has served as Director of multiple service lines, including Medical / Surgical and Observation Units and the Emergency Department.
In her management roles, Tracy is avid proponent for case management and utilization review in all aspects of hospital operations. Currently, Tracy’s primary initiative is ensuring the provision of quality care in the appropriate setting. Tracy presently serves in a consulting role with our partner hospitals to assist with the improvement of core measures compliance, patient satisfaction scores, level of care criteria, education and risk management.
